Define: Feminism

I will try my best to keep this post simple and short, because that’s all it has to be.

Feminism is the social movement towards social equality for both, males and females. It’s aim is to make sure that women receive the exact same treatment as men, in all capacities and aspects of life. This is commonly misconstrued as women wanting more rights, but not the same responsibilities as men. It is also commonly misconstrued as women wanting more rights than men, which may be true for the dictatorial feminist here or there, but is most definitely not the popular opinion.

Conversely,

Feminists are not “man-haters.” Nor are we fat, lesbians who only wish to spend time with our cats when we’re not trolling the internet and spouting feminist ideology to people who don’t really want to hear it, and would rather watch funny videos of cats playing the piano without feminists fucking up the place.

Every group, of every kind, has outliers. More often than not, it is the outliers that are the loudest and get the most attention, earning the entire group their reputation, whether it be true or false. Just remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Additionally, it is important to keep a cool head in all forms of conversation, but especially those that involve anything with politics, rights of any sort, or religion. People get offended very quickly at the things they either hold dear to themselves or the things that they count as defining, personal characteristics. So keeping a cool head works two-fold, first, you are able to truly analyze what someone said and see if it is actually offensive and respond accordingly. Second, you are less likely to offend someone without meaning to do so.

And that, my good friends, is all I have to say.
