Assembly Bill 11266 in California allows students in grades K-12 to choose which bathroom they want to use, depending on which gender they identify with. Governor Jerry Brown signed the bill into law as a means to help decrease bullying of transgender students.

The bill also allows students to choose if they want to take part in male or female sports. Field hockey boys and football girls FTW!

Awesome? Yes. Does Fox and Friends think so? Not so much.

Contributor Michelle Malkin had the most to say about the bill, including but not limited to “As long as a child has the self-perception that they are transgender they will be able to go into any bathroom that they want!” and “this is social engineering run amuck.”

Seriously?! Seriously.

This bill is a huge step in the right direction towards ending discrimination towards transgender people and ending the incessant bullying that they endure not only in school but everywhere else. Apparently Fox and Friends don’t see that.

Many other arguments against the bill are that there will now be an incredible increase in the amount of sex/rape happening in school bathrooms across the state of California.

What exactly do Republicans think goes on in elementary school bathrooms? Is this what it was like for them growing up?

Watch the video and collectively facepalm with me as we all wonder how society has gotten as far as it has today.
