Adam Wiercinski, a Jewish delivery man who worked for Mangia 57 was subjected to years of abuse and harassment, including being called a “dirty Jew” and a “Jewish pederast.”

The hate crimes went further when night shift manager, Artur Zbozien would pass gas in front of Wiercinski and proceed to tell him that “this is your Zyklon B, you stupid Jew.’”

For those who don’t know, Zyklon B is the cyanide based pesticide used in gas chambers by the Nazi’s to murder 1.2 million people during the Holocaust, including approximately 960,000 Jews.

The jury only took four hours to decide in favor of Wiercinski, who worked at Mangia 57 from 1992 – 2008, trapped in the fear of not finding another job due to his age.

“He said, ‘Who else is going to hire a 50-year-old deliveryman.’ He was afraid,” his lawyer, Matthew Blit explained to the Huffington Post.

Both Blit and Wiercinski called the victory a “moral win” and are very pleased with the outcome.
