No Shave November Isn’t Just for Dudes Anymore

Sarah O’Neill has polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), this means that she can grow a beard.
We don’t know what’s more awesome than that.
For those who aren’t aware, the founder of GCR has a beard obsession that goes back to childhood. Don’t ask, just accept it as fact.
Anyway. For No Shave November, aka Movember depending on what type of facial hair one is going for, O’Neill isn’t shaving her ‘stache. She’s not plucking or using Nair or any of those other awful, painful cosmetic products that are designed for hair removal.
No Shave November is a campaign where men grow out their beards to raise awareness about prostate and testicular cancer. Movember has the same purpose, except the facial hair is limited to just mustaches.
O’Neill is using her PCOS for a good cause this year and is raising money to go towards research and a cure for cancer. In effect she’s also raising awareness about PCOS and said in a YouTube video that “It’s not something to be ashamed of. It’s just something that happens,” according to HuffPo.
