Barbara Walters presented 2013’s 20 Most Fascinating People, with a concluding interview with Hillary Clinton, who was named THE most fascinating person of 2013, a repeat win as she received the title in 1993 as the first most fascinating person ever, and then again in 2003 (are we seeing a trend? Should we expect Hillary to win again in 2023?).
During the interview Hillary made note of why having a female president is so important to America, and name dropped more than a few female prez friends who have done pretty cool things in politics.
Clinton said, “It matters. It matters because we have half the population that has given so much to building this country, to making it work, and of course I want to see a woman in the White House. Because, if I look at my friends and former colleagues who are now in the Senate, it was the women senators on both sides of the aisle who finally broke the fever over the government shutdown and debt limit debate. They have been working across party lines, and we need more of that.”
