New Jersey’s hardcore legends, Senses Fail, rocked Warped Tour at one of the last show dates in San Diego, CA.
The five-piece brought on classic favorites like “Can’t Be Saved,” off their sophomore album, Still Searching. The fact that every 15-year-old in the crowd knew the words to the 2006 hit had us feeling pride with a mix of WTF? as listeners couldn’t have been more than six years old when the song was released. The band also gave us a mix of new tunes from their newest release, 2015’s Pull the Thorns from Your Heart.
Lead singer Buddy Nielsen, who recently came out as identifying as queer, ended the set by telling fans that Senses Fail supports the LGBT and feminist causes.
“For those of you who don’t know, we support the LGBT and feminist communities. If you are a man and you don’t know what it’s like to be afraid to walk home by yourself at night, or to be catcalled, and you don’t want to admit that’s there’s a problem, you ARE part of the problem.”
